We Design and Build ponds throughout the Wye Valley
Pond design starts with a site visit and discussion. Maybe you have a clear idea of what you would like or for some components, materials or textures and colours.
We can design a pond or water feature to compliment your existing garden or design a landscape around your new pond or water feature. This can include any peripheral landscaping including: stonework, paving, decking, walls, beds, rockeries or gravel gardens and more.
These ponds can be fully lined with stone and pebble to give a natural effect. Some people like to see more wildlife, others enjoy a constantly evolving seasonal landscape, why not have both. Seeing the increase in biodiversity is worth the investment alone; a wide variety of fauna are likely to arrive over time including: frogs, newts, toads, insects, and birds and mammals using your new pond as water source, home and feeding ground.
We plant our wildlife ponds up with a mixture of wildlife friendly plants around the margins and within the pond. We can also create new planting beds around your pond. Plants bring a variety of colours to the pond, they add structure and soften the stone construction providing shelter, food and habitat for the wildlife.

We design and build beautiful ecosystem fish ponds. When we say fish pond many envisage a sterile environment: black liner maintained by an unsightly filter unit and visible pipework. It doesn’t have to be that way!
We create beautiful fish ponds that allow you to enjoy your fish within a natural environment. Traditional fish ponds cannot compare with a natural looking pond environment where the fish are part of a living ecosystem where they interact with nature and you can be a part of it. It is a great stress relief to come home and hand feed your favourite fish or simply watch them glide around your beautiful pond.
We set up our fish ponds in a similar way as our wildlife ponds so that you gain a tranquil refuge from the everyday world where you can watch your new pets thrive.
An overhanging deck would allow you to drop your feet in on a warm day or to hand feed and interact with your fish. A stone patio edging the pond would allow you to dine or pull up a chair and relax within full view of your water garden. Have you considered adding lighting to your pond design to allow full enjoyment of your waterfeature in to the evening and night.
As part of our pond design service, we also supply and install all the necessary pond equipment including; filtration systems, pumps, aerators, algae and blanket weed control and more.
We design and build natural looking streams and waterfalls constructed from stone and pebble. These features add an extra dimension to your pond with the sound and movement of water.
For those who want to enjoy the sound and motion of water, but would rather not have the standing water of a pond, we offer a ‘pondless waterfall’ which is a waterfall and/or stream that appears like a spring at the top and disappears into a dry creek pebble bed.
These beautiful natural stone and pebble features not only look great but are also child friendly, help mask background noise and are a very low maintenance option.

I’m hard at work!
I try not to take calls when working in someone’s pond. It’s risky for my phone, distracts me from the job at hand and effective note taking is near impossible. In the first instance, it is best if you can email me details of your enquiry, including the type of work you want to be done and when you would like the job completed. I respond to all enquiries within 24 hours and will arrange a suitable time for a callback, or site visit when you’ll have my undivided attention.
Thank you for your consideration.
Frequently Asked Questions
My pond is leaking, can you fix it?
Ponds naturally lose water through plant growth and evaporation, so you may not have a leak. However, once identified, most leaks can be repaired without the need for a new liner.
